Today I want to remind everyone: if you encounter the police, don’t admit to anything!
We’re working on two cases today, and one of them involves boating while intoxicated. My client is on a jet ski and gets run into by another boat. Luckily, no one was seriously injured.
But when the officer talked to him, he said, “Hey, the driver of the other boat says you were driving. Were you driving?” And he acknowledged it.
Now, the driver of the other boat said you were driving, but he ran into you?! How ridiculous is that? Obviously the driver of the other boat had no clue, or else he wouldn’t have run into him. So if my client had just shut up, he wouldn’t be in this situation.
Another example. Cops go to my client’s house, and they find drugs. He says, “Oh yeah, these are my drugs. Let me take responsibility for those!”
Why?! Don’t admit anything! Let the police do their job. He wouldn’t even be charged!
So remember, don’t admit anything. And if you do, call Blass Law. We can clean up the mess!
